    Yes, ‘fossil fuels further up the cost curve” is a completely apt description for Athabasca bitumen – costly to extract, costly to process, costly to transport, costly in many ways to life on Earth. When the carbon bubble bursts, Christine, we’ll hear it first in the sky above Athabasca. Then the foreign producers will bail out leaving Alberta and Ottawa with the mess to clean up.

      I agree – although by “Alberta and Ottawa” you mean you, me and all the other Canadians out there. 😦
