Climate Inaction Costs Lives

A new website launched by Greenpeace at the start of the Cancun Climate Talks this week has a counter shows the number of people who will die or be displaced while our global politicians delay action on the most crucial issue facing humanity today.  Also tallied is the economic cost of delayed action.

Check out Cost of Climate Change.org.

Meanwhile, our Canadian Prime Minister continues to erroneously assert that “It’s the Economy, Stupid” when it comes to climate change, because of course everyone knows that oil executives and the prime ministers who hang out with them don’t actually have to live on the same planet as the rest of us. Neither, apparently, do their children and grandchildren.
