Here’s the 99% Choir, made up of members from The Backbone Campaign, Washington Community Action Network, Seattle Labor Chorus, and The Other 98%, singing their renditions of some familiar Christmas tunes in front of the Bank of America in Seattle Washington:

I prefer a song sang by Occupy MN to the tune of Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. The chorus is Join us in Seeking a New Way. We need to stop placing blame on one group. We are all part of the system/problem, we need to all be part of the solution. We can’t create a new system while trying to blame one group for its problems.

Lovely, thanks for sharing that, Kathryn! I agree with all creative ways of getting the message across that the system is broken, and that we all need to be part of fixing it. As the “Dancing Without Borders” flashmob video that I posted on December 21st shows, part of the change is reaching out to those who make up the 1%. But that doesn’t mean they can’t/shouldn’t be taken to task, and reminded of how their greed is hurting the rest of us, and the planet.
What a great job they did – creative and festive.
